What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for partnering with our lines of business and for strategically leading the development of risk-based mitigation plans for our deposit products and services. In addition, this role will be responsible for developing and enhancing compliance programs tailored to the Dodd Frank Unfair, deceptive or abusive acts or practices (UDAAP), fair lending, Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA), and credit bureau reporting. This role will be responsible for developing a strategic plan to enhance our existing program and successfully executing upon that plan as we approach $10 billion in assets. The Director, Compliance - Deposits & Consumer Protection will participate in compliance examinations and other interactions with our regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

Do you see yourself doing this?

  • Manage and conduct regulatory program risk assessments (e.g., UDAAP, SCRA) across the enterprise.
  • Establish and monitor various key performance indicators and ensure risk assessments are completed to offer continual insight to senior management and Board of Directors.
  • Maintain policies, standards and procedures related to regulatory programs for UDAAP, SCRA, fair lending, credit bureau reporting and other compliance risks as assigned.
  • Oversee planning and implementation of business compliance systems, projects and controls.
  • Ensure second line of defense testing is developed to measure first line control effectiveness.
  • Prepare management and board reporting that includes insights and analysis based on industry-leading knowledge of compliance management programs.
  • Provide expert consultation to business partners to identify and mitigate risk within their business units.
  • Collaborate with first line of defense to provide accurate and timely responses to member and consumer complaints.
  • Liaise with regulatory agencies on complaints.
  • Translate strategic and operating plans into meaningful direction of projects, goals, priorities and activities; deliver on strategy through the right people in the right place at the right time.
  • Provide business vision by creating imagery and transparency in the possibilities, opportunities and direction of the future.
  • Continual assessment, discerning development, insightful coaching and talent utilization/optimization of subordinate leaders of others.
  • Capture, analyze, and understand the internal environment, team dynamics, and talent capabilities to address organizational refinement, agility and growth.
  • Applies great management practices in leading an engaged workforce to effectively deliver the value of this function.
  • Provides a structured and consistent approach to ensure that individual development plans are in place, performance management is consistent, performance management process is respected and followed, and coaching and feedback are provided on a regular and dynamic basis.

 

 

Qualifications

What makes you a great fit?

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. JD or Master’s Degree preferred. CRCM or CUCE certification strongly desired, and you have:
