What will your day look like?

You will be responsible for closing and the ongoing servicing of commercial loans. The Commercial Loan Servicer is responsible for managing the collection of accurate due diligence documentation, onboarding of new loans, and generating both internal and external reports as required. This individual will partner closely with accounting and finance departments, monitor and update real estate tax, UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) and insurance tracking reports, perform tax escrow analysis, and validate draw requests.   Additionally, the Commercial Loan Servicer will reconcile payments, assist with electronic file retention, respond to member inquiries on existing loans, and undertake special projects as needed. To be successful, candidates must be extremely organized, detailed-oriented, and provide a high level of customer service to our members.

Responsibilities

  • You can gather complete and accurate loan documentation that conforms to approved terms and onboard new loans to properly reflect these terms and conditions
  • You can act as liaison and promptly respond to ensure that borrower inquiries and matters are addressed appropriately
  • You can ensure strong internal controls and quality assurance policies and procedures are adhered to at all times
  • You can assist in formulating and maintaining effective loan closing and servicing operating procedures
  • You can assist in designing, creating and maintaining loan servicing management reports
  • You can make process improvement recommendations to the Manager, Commercial Closing and Servicing regarding best practices, including ways to create efficiencies

Qualifications

What makes you a great fit?

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to a Bachelor's degree and three years of experience in commercial real estate (customer service capacity); experience in commercial loan closing and you have:

  • Previous commercial real estate closing experience, including the review of commercial loan documents
  • Demonstrated to be a strong team player with demonstrated initiative and ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service skills and focus
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Notary preferred
