    What will your day look like?

    You will be responsible for managing and building relationships with our high opportunity Select Employer Groups (SEGs) in order to build the Alliant brand and business. You are responsible for championing Alliant at the SEG by executing and refining a strategic business plan that will increase awareness at SEGs about their Alliant partnership and benefits.

    The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing executive relationships and location partnerships. Responsibilities include overall access (digital, print, and in person) to the SEGs as well as the growth and retention of membership from the high opportunity SEGs. You will be the liaison with the SEG to solve any issues, communicate needs, and create a strong, dynamic partnership. You are responsible for retaining Alliant’s position as the key credit union or bank partner.

    Responsibilities

    Do you see yourself doing this?

    • Improve penetration on membership in each SEG
    • Establish new SEG contacts and relationships
    • Gain communication access to employees via mainly digital channels but also through print and events
    • Establish new channels for growth and retention through Channel Strategy Management
    • Work with cross-functional partners to ensure effective, consistent and collaborative SEG communications
    • Track, report and manage opportunities based on results to goal
    • Derive actionable insights from reporting and make adjustments to ensure objectives are achieved/exceeded
    • Maintain high degree of knowledge of high opportunity SEGs and make necessary recommendations for product development and relationship management  
    • Conduct research on industry trends and best practices and provide regular feedback to assist in the calibration and development of member growth strategies
    • Contribute to department and division level projects and initiatives as needed via thought leadership, expert opinion, and creative solution design

    Qualifications

    What makes you a great fit?

    You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications Business, Sales or related field, 5+ years in business-to-business sales, partner marketing, and executive relationship or partnership management; or an equivalent combination of training and experience, and you have:

     

    • Must have previous experience establishing and maintaining relationships with large corporate accounts
    • Experience in direct sales to human capital professionals with benefits or financial services preferred
    • Excellent written and oral communication, relationship building, and presentation skills required
    • Must be politically savvy and able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, decision making and business development capabilities
    • Salesforce or equivalent software experience
    • Self-motivated with proven ability to execute on deliverables
    • Highly detail oriented with a critical degree of accuracy; strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Working knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Project)
    • Up to 50% travel, some evenings and weekends required
