In this role, you will be responsible for administering the SQL Server Databases. Troubleshoot database issues and develop recovery procedures by following the DBA functions and architectures and credit union policy and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Support Microsoft SQL databases to support Business Unit and Application Development.
  • Execute recurring and timely SQL server maintenance to ensure a consistent and reliable database environment.
  • Investigate and resolve problems related to SQL Server and/or client issues.
  • Monitor database performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
  • Edit and/or revise relational databases.
  • Maintain and monitor database backup/recovery and document recovery processes and procedures.
  • Support recovery from loss of data caused by application, user or system error.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize SQL queries and ensure efficient data access and manipulation.
  • Work involves partnering with credit union departments in order to design and re-engineer databases.
  • Develop and maintain logical and physical database models. Assist in data migration, transformation, and integration processes between different database systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as database tuning, capacity planning, and patch management.
  • Provide on-call support for critical database incidents and perform root cause analysis.

Education:

  • Minimum - Bachelors Degree - Computer Science or Related

 

Years of Experience:

  • 4 Years - Microsoft SQL Server Database or related

 

In Lieu of Education:

  • 6 Years - Microsoft SQL Server Database or related

 

Licenses/Certification/Training:

  • Preferred - Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator, AWS Certified Database or Related
