In this role, you will support the Technology Department’s strategy by leading and monitoring the end-to-end IT asset management processes. Manage the lifecycle for IT assets and ensure the organization uses best practices in both software asset management and hardware asset management. Additionally, you will partner in a backup role to help support our CMDB, ITSM, and disaster recovery efforts.

Responsibilities

  • 75% of the time - Support the execution of the overall IT Asset Management (ITAM) Process for hardware and software.
  • Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software and hardware from requisition through retirement. Assist in the new software and new hardware approval processes.
  • Ensure that all assets are identified and tracked in ServiceNow CMDB.  (Including true-up and attestation processes)
  • Ensure assets are properly asset tagged. Maintain the asset inventory database and ensure it is accurate and investigate and resolve exceptions and accuracy issues of the asset inventory.
  • Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licensing, warranty and maintenance/support contract information.
  • Compare warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts to assist with asset upkeep, upgrades, repair, and replacement.
  • Monitor end-of-life assets and ensure they are properly remediated and that the remediation is documented. Provide management with reporting on the asset inventory and the state of each asset.
  • Monitor and analyze trends in company spending and inventory control to make recommendations for the future and to identify areas for possible savings and asset optimization.
  • Communicate to and assist business units in understanding and following ITAM policies, standards and procedures and maintain up-to-date with updates. Ensure that any changes to the ITAM methods are communicated to the proper stakeholders before they are implemented.
  • 25% of time - Support peers within the department with various initiatives related to tech audit, Metrics, Disaster Recovery, CMDB and ITSM.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree - Business, Finance, Accounting or Related - Minimum

 

Years of Experience:

  • 4 Years - IT Asset Management, IT procurement, vendor management or related - Minimum

 

In Lieu of Education:

  • 7 Years - IT Asset Management, IT procurement, vendor management or related
