In this role, you will support the origination of consumer loans by handling a variety of tasks to prepare the loan for funds disbursement in accordance with the loan policies. Works closely with other team members such as Loan Consultants, Underwriters, Wholesale Partners and Wholesale Dealers to ensure loan stipulations have been received and reviewed for accuracy. Reviews loan and membership documents and performing income calculations, asset verifications, identification verifications, and other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Work with other team members such as Loan Consultants and/or Wholesale Partners to gather and review required loan documentation for loan closing and funding.
  • Review income verifications and calculates income in accordance with Alliant procedures.
  • Review other documentation including loan contracts as needed to confirm compliance with Alliant policies.
  • Follow necessary title perfection procedures to secure Alliant’s legal interest in the collateral.
  • Act as the final processing step for all direct channel loans before loan funding in ensuring that all documents which are required for the loan have been received, verified and follow approved loan terms.
  • Clear Fraud or OFAC alerts as well as other credit bureau issues and ensure member has passed membership identification validations. Identify potential red flags which may result in a loss to Alliant and escalate for appropriate action.
  • Obtain necessary documents to validate identity and clear warnings.
  • Ensure timely delivery and follow-up on member correspondence and documentation regarding the loan to ensure a positive, professional, and expedited member borrowing experience.
  • Properly document any exceptions to standard processing procedures. Assist and promptly respond to Wholesale Partners regarding funding delays and compliance issues.
  • Assist in the role of a Home Equity Loan Processor, handling similar functions as identified above, including documentation and identification review.

Education:

  • Hight school or equivalent - Minimum

 

Years of Experience:

  • 1 year of direct or indirect consumer loan closing, processing, underwriting or Related - Minimum
