As a Principal Data Analyst, you will lead complex data initiatives, drive strategic insights through advanced analytics, data analysis, business analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. Serve as a subject matter expert to business and leaders for regulatory data submissions, ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, and actionable intelligence across enterprise systems. Influence data strategy, and champions continuous improvement in data-driven decision-making. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and be accountable for NCUA quarterly data submission process and communication with NCUA
  • Work with cross-functional business partners, external vendors, and data engineering partners on detailed and thorough gap analysis and recommend process improvements following NCUA regulatory requirements
  • Analyze and maintain NCUA issue log for the issues identified by NCUA
  • Establish and lead a strategy for effective issues remediation, tracking, and metrics reporting.
  • Lead and mentor other data analysts for technical analysis of the issues to identify root causes of issues and provide guidance for resolution of known issues
  • Assign issues to the right owners based on the root cause analysis
  • Partner with teams such as data engineering, finance, accounting, credit risk, loan trading desk to identify and resolve gaps in the data reported to regulators
  • Reconcile data from financial reports such as call report to regulatory submission data to address gaps and lead cross functional working group meetings
  • Collaborate with cross functional business, IT, and vendor teams to drive issues to resolution by tracking, monitoring, escalating, following up, validating, and closing the issues
  • Collaborate with business partners to identify, manage, track, escalate, and resolve regulatory data integrity issues using data management background and and knowledge of lending, finance, deposits, and regulatory reporting
  • Lead end-to-end data processes, conduct business and technical data analysis, perform root cause analysis, and drive remediation

 

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree - Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Related - Minimum
  • Graduate Degree - Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or Related - Preferred
 
Years of Experience:
  • 8 Years - Data Analyst or related - Minimum
 
In Lieu of Education:
  • 10 years - Data Analyst or related

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Typical hiring range:‏‏‎ ‎$99,200‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$140,100 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
