In this hybrid role, based at our Chicago Headquarters, you will support the commercial lending team with active monitoring of the commercial lending portfolio. Gather financial information, conduct property-level financial evaluations and borrower and guarantor examinations.

Responsibilities

  • Interact with borrowers and obtain necessary information on the property and guarantors/sponsors. Maintain financial statement collection and keep track of past due documents.
  • Order periodic site inspections for commercial loan in the portfolio.
  • Maintain a log of completed inspections and advise management of issues identified in the inspection reports.
  • Monitor portfolio loans for adherence to covenants and identify potential issues.
    Conduct annual reviews of commercial loans within the credit union portfolio, including evaluation of property financials, assessing creditworthiness of guarantors/sponsors and determine annual risk ratings of the loan.
  • Prepare the annual review report for review and approval by credit committees.
  • Perform market research using various online and third-party applications, compare performance of collateral property against market data and estimate updated asset valuation.
  • Maintain an organized filing system to ensure documents are up to date to facilitate an efficient audit process.
  • Review requests for earnout provisions as identified in the loan documents to ensure that requirements have been met to warrant the additional funds.
  • Prepare analytical reports for management review of the commercial loan portfolio performance.

Education:
  • Bachelors Degree - Business, Finance, Accounting or Related - Minimum

 

Years of Experience:
  • 4 years - Commercial Real Estate Lending or Related  - Minimum

 

In Lieu of Education:

  • 6 years - Commercial Real Estate Lending or Related
 
 

 

Compensation & Benefits:

Typical hiring range:‏‏‎ ‎$76,500 ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$108,050 Annually. Actual compensation will be determined using factors such as experience, skills & knowledge.
